Copy analogue audio to CDR (vinyl, tape, etc)  Some tips to help you transcribe your favourite albums on vinyl, cassette etc. to CDR.

CD Writer UDMA mode not available - Windows 2000 falls back to PIO when it detects a few DMA errors. This configuration is then written to the registry and remains over subsequent reboots. Look here for the hack to reset the registry entry.

Problems loading CD writing software - Clean old registry entries that might have been left by older CD writing software, before installing the new.

Backup with Norton Ghost 2003 - While not an audio issue, backup and CDR go hand in hand. Norton's Ghost is a tool for backing up and restoring disc and partition images. While it doesn't appear to do much for the money, it will pay for itself in the time it can save in the event of a disc failure the first time this unfortunate event occurs.
