My name is Graham Mayor. Following retirement, I became something of a newsgroup junkie, and in 2002 was invited to join the ranks of Microsoft's MVP team for my contributions in the Microsoft Word newsgroups and I have been re-awarded this status each year since.

I began this web site to provide a record of some of my favourite tips and as a gallery for sharing some of my photographs. It keeps me amused when I have nothing better to do.

Sadly Microsoft chose to turn off their newsgroup servers in 2010 in favour of the Microsoft Answers Web Forums. The old newsgroups are still available, though traffic in the Word forums has diminished to a trickle and you will need to find another server to access them.

The site contains several pages of tips, tutorials and add-ins to enable you to get the best from some of the more obscure features of Microsoft Word.

There are also several photo galleries which record places in my adopted country, Cyprus, and from travels in the British Isles. You will also find photographs of the assorted feral cats which visit my garden for food and shelter.

I have been interested in audio for some 40 years and throughout the hi fi boom of the '80s I regularly contributed to a variety of UK audio magazines. My principal interests in this field now concern the editing of audio material and transcribing recordings on vinyl and tape to CDR. Tips relating to this sphere of activity will also be added from time to time.
